Upcoming changes to the CCSP exam
Since its inception in 2015, the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) has remained the same but, as there have been many changes in the IT world, the time has come for CCSP to undergo a few changes. As such, CCSP’s first revision will come in to effect on August 1st, 2019.
How Big are These Changes?
Changes being made to the CCSP are representative of a Job Task Analysis determining tasks being performed by CCSP holders. These changes ensure that topics covered are relevant to the roles and responsibilities of today’s information security professionals focusing on cloud technologies.
Though the new CCSP exam does cover new topics, the foundation of the CCSP remains the same and there are still six (6) domains within the exam, though some have been renamed.
The biggest change to the CCSP is the exam itself. Students have four (4) hours to complete the exam with the current version but will find that time shortened to three (3) hours once the revision takes effect. Note the question count remains the same at 125.
